Communication Specialist-Mass/Web

Job Description:
Constant communication to citizens, activists, supporters
and other stake-holders is the life-line of VOTEINDIA movement.
The communication could be in the form of web content, newsletters,
advocacy magazines, press releases, pamphlets, brochures and
other forms of mass communication.
Job Specifications:
- Ability to write/communicate in journalistic style of
English.
- Ability to proof read and edit various types of content/documents.
- Should be able to produce working drafts by reading source
material and obtain additional information either through
research or interviewing the right people.
- Should be web-savvy with a knack for sourcing information
from diverse sources.
- Establish over-all editorial guidelines and follow a consistent
approach in communication.
- High level of proficiency in usage of computers is a must
- Coordinate content development from other individuals.
- Assist in the development and management of a process
to facilitate new content (for web site), content changes
and content updates to ensure that changes are made on a
timely basis and are not published until approved.
- Experience/familiarity with web content design and development
technologies will be an advantage.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an advanced (Master's) degree
in any of the following disciplines from a reputed institute/university:
Journalism, Mass Communications, English. At least 2-3 years
of experience in similar line will be of advantage. Fresh
graduates with exceptional talent and credentials are also
encouraged to apply.
