Job Description:

VOTEINDIA undertakes various initiatives/campaigns across the country to promote citizen participation and better governance. The initiatives while not being restricted to encompass diverse areas viz. instruments of accountability like Right to Information etc, decentralization of government, judicial reforms, healthcare, education, simplification of tax procedures, urban affairs, voter registration, etc. All these initiatives will be in support of the objectives of VOTEINDIA movement. The Program Manager will be responsible for specific initiatives/ campaigns. This position will be based in Hyderabad and would include need-based travel.

Job Specifications:

· Ability to conceptualize, plan, design and coordinate implementation of initiatives/campaigns in support of the VOTEINDIA movement.
· Ability to design creative and innovative campaigns, which will promote effective citizen participation.
· Establish procedures for monitoring and evaluating the progress of the campaigns and writing reports on completion.
· Coordinate with other citizen's initiatives across the country to ensure their support and active participation.
· Liaison with representatives of government, industry and civil society.
· Prepare comprehensive reports on VOTEINDIA initiatives for wider dissemination.
· Ability to draft project proposals for seeking funding from donor agencies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a very high degree of proficiency in English are mandatory.
· High level of proficiency in usage of computers is a must
· Should be a self-starter with ability to set short-term and long-term goals and pursue them diligently.
· Calls for a very high-level of attention to detail, clarity of thought, and perseverance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an advanced (Master's) degree in any of the following disciplines from a reputed institute/university: Political Science, Public Administration, History, Social Sciences, Journalism, Mass Communications, Economics, English, Law, Management. At least 2-3 years of experience in similar or related line will be of advantage. Fresh graduates with exceptional talent and credentials are also encouraged to apply.
