Research Associate

Job description:
- Take up research in issues/subjects related to VOTEINDIA's
goals and produce papers, articles and reports for public
dissemination.
- Should be able to produce high quality working drafts
by going through original source material and obtain additional
information either through research or interviewing the
right people.
- Will be assisting in drafting advocacy papers related
to political and governance reforms.
- Should possess solid analytical skills.
- Should show initiative, prepared to work hard and perform
under tight deadlines.
Job Specifications :
- Assist in research activities and writing research papers/advocacy
papers/white papers/articles on issues related to political
and governance reforms.
- Should be able to produce working drafts by reading source
material and obtain additional information either through
research or interviewing the right people.
- Excellent communication skills (oral/written) in English
is mandatory. Proficiency in any other major Indian language
would be of advantage.
- Ability to write research papers/white papers/articles
related to VOTEINDIA's agenda.
- Should possess solid analytical skills and show initiative
and be prepared to work hard.
- Should be web-savvy with a knack for sourcing information
from diverse sources.
- Proficiency in usage of computers is mandatory.
- Additional skills in drafting activity reports and funding
proposals will be helpful.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in any of
the following disciplines from a reputed institute/university:
Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics,
History, Journalism or any other discipline in Humanities.
At least 2-3 years of experience in similar line will be of
advantage. Fresh graduates with exceptional talent and credentials
are also encouraged to apply.
